The name for this Camporee, The Powell Family Reunion, comes from Lord Baden Powell and Billy Powell.  Billy Powell is better known as Osceola, Chief of the Seminoles.  Osceola’s father was a Scotsman named William Powell.

So this Centennial Camporee brings together the family of Scouting from Councils across Florida and the family of Seminoles to celebrate our history and kinship.
